Restless Rubes, Suburban Home
Restless Rubes is Ninja Gun’s second release and the production on this album is something Brian Wilson could be proud of.
This band blends down home rock ‘n’ roll with the alt-country sound, and yes I know that sound is all the rage, but these dudes do it honestly and they come from Valdosta, Ga! The songs here are full sounding, melodic and energetic, and if you’re listening to them without a grin you may want to consult a physician and see if those muscles that contract a smile are still intact. No, seriously. I could have the shittiest day of my life but it would be impossible not to crack one (smile or beer) while listening to them or seeing them play live. Their CD release show is on July 12 at The Atlantic, lighten up and go watch them.
